Name Origins
English Name: Vikemon
Origin: From 'vik', which is the first part of 'viking'
Japanese Name: Vikemon
Origin: Same as the English name origin

Card Explanations Needed: Vikemon's Special Effect activated every time Vikemon is attacked. Also, the player has the option to draw the 4 cards as soon as Vikemon is attacked and use those cards, if possible (within the rules), or let the attack resolve first before drawing the 4 cards. If the player chooses to draw the cards after the attack has resolved, and Vikemon is defeated as a result of the attack resolution, the player still gets to draw the 4 cards because Vkemon was attacked.

My Card Comments:

Hints, Tips, & Strategies: Vikemon's Special Effect is a good one, especialy because it allows you to draw 4 cards, which is twice as many as you get to draw in the Draw Phase. Besides that, if Vikemon is attacked more than once in your opponent's turn, that gives you 8 cards to work with right there.

For a strategy, having only Vikemon cards on your Attack Row will either prevent your opponent from attacking because they know what's coming if they do (and they'd have to get through all your Digimon before they can launch a direct attack), or they'd increase the amount of cards in your hand for each attack in Vikemon, which would be the only Digimon there to attack. Keep in mind, however, that there's no guarantee the 4 cards you draw will be able to help you in the attack resolution (which means Vikemon may lose), so it's a good idea to have a fair amount of usable cards in your hand before trying a strategy like this, especialy if you're trying it with only 1 Vikemon...
