24 August, 2004 -Important news!

OK people, here's the news: The game is available in some places but not all places yet, for some reason. However, that may be a good thing since it gives time for this news brief. Remember how the Starter cards have more rarities than just 'Common'? Well, that's because they're being inserted in the Booster packs too. However, because there are 100 Starter cards and only 60 Booster cards, and the Starters make up most of the Common and Uncommon cards, you'd most likely get more Starter cards in the Booster packs than Booster cards. I suggest not buying the Starter boxes if you're planning on getting alot of Booster packs because you'd be getting a good amount of Starter cards in the Boosters anyway. Official word says that the next release (in 3 or 4 months?) looks like it will just be Booster cards and no Starters.

The rarities, according to the Booster packets, are 5 Common, 3 Uncommon, and 1 Rare card per pack for 9 cards per pack. Holo cards are randomly inserted 1 in every 3 packs, a Gold Stamped card should be 1 in every 11 packs, and a Super Rare card in 15th pack. Keep in mind that that's an estimate of the entire production run and may not reflect what you actualy get in the packs, as far as the Holo, Gold Stamped, and Super Rare cards anyway.

21 August, 2004 -Serious ouchness...

Good news: Every Booster scan is up where the card page is supposed to be, except for where there are already pages (those have the scan in the page). The scans are 40% quality. The 100% quality ones should be uploaded to the Gallery sometime next week.

Bad news: As I suspected, the Starter cards are randomly inserted in the Booster packs. Each pack contains 5 Common cards, 3 Uncommon, and 1 Rare. According to the printing on the Booster pack, the chances of getting a Holo card is 1 in 3 packs, Gold Stamped is 1 in 7 packs, and Super Rare is 1 in 15 packs.

20 August, 2004 -Here ya go ;-)

As stated in yesterday's update, they're in stores now! Scans for DM-078 Kurisarimon, DM-84 Silphymon, DM-85 Rapidmon, DM-93 Paildramon, DM-95 MegaGargomon, DM-98 Magnadramon and DM-103 Imperialdramon (Fighter Mode) are now up where the card pages are supposed to be, and the Sakuyamon page has Sakuyamon's scan instead of the preview pic. All scans are at 40% quality; 100% quality scans will be uplaoded to the gallery sometime soon. Expect more scans this weekend. ;-) Once again, all scans thanks to Rianmon.

19 August, 2004 -Cards, cards, everywhere! X-]

The cards, both Starter boxes and Booster packs, should be in stores today at some places, but definately no later than Saturday. It seems that the major stores got them a few days ago but haven't gotten as far as stocking the shelves (the joys of getting lots of unknown inventory *sigh*).

In site news, I suppose you're wondering why I haven't updated, huh? Well, I haven't updated the main page, but the scans for the first 2 Starters have been in the Gallery for the last few days now. Since the Booster cards are right around the carner, I should have scans of them up sometime very very soon. I haven't bothered uploading more pages because I'd just have to edit them again to add more 'Digivolves to:' Digimon, which will drain bandwidth. So keep a lookout at local stores for cards and here for card scans. ^ ^

14 August 2004 -*Almost* a major update x.x'

As some of you may or may not know, Bandai America usualy gets their products trucked out on the 14th of the month (like today), so the new game may very well be in stores anytime from Monday.

Speaking of the new game, I got card scans for every card in the first 2 Starters. I've made card pages for all the Digi-Destined cards in the first Starter, and DM-001 Impmon to DM-006 Veemon. All the rest of the links lead to the card scans for their respective pages. The scans are low quality ones so that they don't cause the pages to take forever to load; I should have the high quality scans in the Gallery sometime next week. I will also be making more card pages (so the interlinking might actualy work soon). I plan on having the Comparative Power Chart up very soon too. Enjoy! ^ ^

6th August 2004 -Minor Update

Just a minor update to the 4 card pages in the Digimon CCG section (thanks to Shining Celebi). Unfortunately, nothing else new because it doesn't look like the cards are out yet... Still have tomorrow though (unless there was more delays x.x' )

2nd August 2004 -Actual Content! X-D

As I hoped, I have the card pages for Vikemon, Sakuyamon, WarGreymon, and Gallantmon (Crimson Mode) up now. The card pics, although not card scans, have been verified as final versions by Erick Reyes, so it's safe to use the info on them without getting eggs thrown at me for giving the wrong card info... o.o (Which is the reason those 4 card pages are the only ones done even though I have the info and card pics for more than those). You can find links to those card pages in the Booster 1 page of the Digimon CCG section (link in the left navigation).

Also, the new game should be in stores around now sometime, and a rough estimate on prices is $3.59 or $3.99 for a Booster pack and $10.99 for a Starter box (all in U.S. currency. For your conversion to your local currency, you can go to www.xe.com ). There are 2 Starter series with 50 cards each. No word yet on how many cards will be in a Booster pack or what the rarity ratio for cards will be, but I'll let you know when I find out.
